Vegas on a Budget – SAY WHA!!!

VEGAS ON A BUDGET

Say Wha!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it’s true! You can go to Vegas on a budget and have the time of your life! I’m going to share some easy tips and tricks you can do to make it happen!

Step 1: MyVegas Before You Vegas

Download 4 apps, my Vegas app, pop slots, My Vegas Blackjack and My Konomi.  Sign up with your Facebook and play these games each night.  In 1 month, I was able to get enough gold coins to get a comp room at New York, New York Hotel in Vegas.  No need to spend money in these app either.  They email you with free coins to play with daily, and give you coins daily just for going into them.  You want the gold coins to use as rewards.  You’re allowed to redeem 3 rewards every 30-day period.  Have your friends or family play too if they’re planning on joining you in Vegas because you’re going to want their rewards also!  You can only redeem 1 comp room every 30 days BUT if your friends also have enough gold coins to redeem rooms, they will let you link the reservations and put a note on them, so you don’t have to check in and check out of your hotel room.  The comp room calendar is tricky, and most comps don’t include weekends, but any penny saved helps! (Check the app for details on dates they’re valid) Resort fees, taxes and extra person fees still apply to these rooms.  We paid $42/night for these fees.

Step 2: Nightlife

If dancing is your thing, Vegas is the place for you! Prices to get into clubs on weekends can run you over $50/person. But if you search on Instagram “Vegas club promoter” you can find tons of promoters which you can text to get into the clubs for FREE!!! They put you on the guestlist. I do recommend getting to the clubs early so you’re not waiting too long to get in. It takes time to get in as they search everyone thoroughly, (happy mom moment!) These promoters can also get you into the daytime beach parties at different hotels where many famous DJs perform! It’s really an amazing time!!! The hotels all have different types of bars in them too! Definitely plan to check some of those out as well for a good time!

Step 3: Check Groupon/Discount Sites

You can find some great deals on food and things to do on Groupon and they’re always offering 20% off!

Step 4: Be a Planner

There is so much to do and see in Vegas, so use your time wisely. Map out the places you want to see and figure out when you’re going to go. This helps save money on Uber/Lyft rides to get to the other side of the strip. Read reviews and don’t waste your money on things that aren’t that great or worth the money.

Step 5: Getting Around Town

Download Uber/Lyft and refer friends that are with you, so you all get money towards your account!  Sometimes you need to get to the other side of the strip, so this helps save! Taxis are overpriced! You can always walk, but it might take a while!

Step 6: Casinos

Gamble smart, if that’s your thing. Don’t blow all your money and become that guy trying to sell my husband his college ring for $50 dollars… yes that happened.

Step 7: Food

If you’re eating out and not going to a buffet through My Vegas or Groupon restaurant, most other places are pricey. Look up pricing and menu prior so you can budget the price of your meals. If this is how you like to dine, expect to spend a lot on food and save for it. There are many amazing, unique restaurants in Vegas, so try to enjoy a few while you’re there. Even coffee and snacks are pricey. But it’s Vegas and to be expected. Just plan to spend around $7 for 1 slice of pizza after getting home from the club/bars/casino!

Step 8: Drinks

Buy some at a store and drink before going out. Drinks are expensive!!! 1 shot was $21 at one of the clubs I went to! INSANITY!!! Or Stay sober of course, but you’re in Vegas! Live it up!!!

Step 9: Flights

Book early and track flights through google flights/ or hopper app. I went through Expedia and spent an extra $11 for price change guarantee, which meant if the price ever dropped, and I saw it, Expedia would refund me the difference after my trip. It didn’t happen for me because I booked close to the trip (about 1.5 months out) but great investment for someone who’s booking ahead of time!

Step 10: SLEEP

Sleep when you can (on the plane) so you can enjoy the time you have in Vegas to make memories with the people you went there with. You want to make the most of your time so you don’t feel like you’ve wasted money to go there! LEAVE THE KIDS AT HOME IF YOU CAN! VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!
